We considered calling this spot The View With Some Rooms, but settled on The Lodge. Jaw-dropping scenery of endless mountains and the Potomac River engulfs every view from the house. The Lodge is a two bedroom, two full-bathroom unit with a stocked kitchen, open living room, cozy enclosed sunroom, adjoining game room, and two outdoor patio areas. The third bedroom is located... on the ROOF! Sleep under the stars and take in the sunsets in our super cool, fully-furnished, rooftop dome—the Moonlight. Play some foosball in the game room, tune into the Sonos speakers, throw on a record, relax on the outdoor sofa while grilling up dinner, dine on the patio, throw some logs in the Solo stove fire pit, and cap off the night in the private hot tub.

We offer bookings directly through us (click "request to book") to help you save on service fees. Booking direct guarantees the lowest total cost. However, you may still book through Airbnb, if you prefer. Find both options here, and please reach out if you have any questions!

CAMPER NOTES:

The dome is air conditioned (with blackout curtains!) during the warmer months. For the colder days, there is heat, and the bed has a heated mattress pad. Please note that the dome may not be usable during the coldest months (Jan/Feb) due to the chill (insulation is limited inside the dome). The dome shares the second full bathroom inside the Lodge.

 

There is a garage level to the Lodge (the yellow door under the upside down canoe) which houses our little camp store—The Trading Post—as well as a book + record library, and postcard-mailing station...go check it out! This space is open to all guests, but there is no direct access from this area into the Lodge. 

CANCELLATION + RESERVATION CHANGE POLICY

CANCELLATION 

  • Guests will receive a full refund if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of booking (only if occurring at least 14 days before check-in)

  • If cancellation occurs between 7 and 30 days before check-in, guests will receive 50% of the reservation total

  • If cancellation occurs less than 7 days before check-in, no refund is provided. However, if we are able to re-book the reservation, we will provide a full refund!​

CHANGES TO RESERVATION

We totally understand that things come up and plans may need to change. We allow one reservation change outside of the cancellation window. Request for changes inside of the cancellation window will result in related cancellation penalties per our policy. As with our cancellation policy, should the reservation rebook for the original nights of your rescheduled stay, a full refund of the rebooked nights will be issued.
